EMPLOYMENT:

Trendy Vintage Design Arlington, Texas
Digital output on Xante and Hewlett Packard Printers, with Adobe Post Script functionality. Preflight all work before sending to client, imposition, spot color matching on the machines, graphic design and manipulating color and art to meet our clients needs. Created vector artwork from raster art, business cards, websites, etc. Worked on all styles of art from clients to assure proper attributes. Built and maintained company websites, blog sites, and catalog/Ecommerce shopping cart for that end of company.
GraphicArtist 1999 – 2002
Mesa National Inc. Grand Prairie, Texas
In-house designer and in charge of the art department of a busy screen printing company. From design concept to final separations. Including quotations, creating and manipulating designs from clients art and ideas, recreating and digitizing existing logos, created positives on horizontal camera, managing deadlines, training, and all the pre-press work. Working along side the press room, as an artist helped my understanding of printing and how to manipulate digital artwork to achieve the desired result. Managing the art department has also given me the opportunity to hire, train and evaluate production artists.
Graphic Designer 1998 – 1999
Bagworks Inc. Fort Worth, Texas
Tote Bag printing and sales company. Upon starting my employment, I built a screen printing department including press, dryer, camera, art table, etc. Screen printed bags of all types with corporate identification, logos, and other types of designs. Developed web presence and upgraded programs. Built print-ready files, worked with layout and advertising. Created film positives for screens, processed color separation, scanning, color correction, printers spreads, typesetting, troubleshooting operating systems and all other duties that are required in a graphic design position. Maintained computer applications. Meeting deadlines and accuracy were key to this position. Creative designing and problem solving skills were mandatory in this environment.
Digital Department / Photographer 1995 – 1997
Screen Visions Screen Printing Fort Worth, Texas
While working at Screen Visions, I achieved quite a bit. I started as a screen printer, utilizing a horizontal camera for film positives, worked with rubilith and customers artwork to achieve proper results. After a few months, I became supervisor over production, then over production and sales. I finally started working with the computers and the artwork on a larger scale. We worked with SignLab, Adobe Illustrator, and Freehand. I taught others the art of screen printing and sales.
I have achieved a point in my career that I find myself giving a lot back to new printers and artists, as well as seasoned artists. I teach design, layout, email marketing, programming, and more. What I am looking for at this point in my life is a place to settle down and call home. I have run my own companies, and have had enough of that. I have well developed customer skills, my career has called for a lot of customer communications, delivering the look they see in their head.
